I love busyness. I live to be busy.
Whether this has evolved out of a weird form of maturity or a weird form of necessity, I really have no idea.
Regardless, it has been doing wonders for my academic/professional life.
Not so much, really, in the way of my personal or love life.
It's sort of sad to see everyone sort of drift apart even before college does it for them.
Haha. "Love life."

Yesterday was Josh's birthday. More specificly his eighteenth birthday. It reminded me of my birthdays, i.e. lots of family and a couple of close friends. It made him feel old. It made me feel old, too.
Happy Birthday, Joshua.

I was notified today of my acceptence to the swacda honors choir.
Only thirteen ladies of my voice part made it from all of Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas.
I will be staying and rehearsing in the fanciest of hotels/convention centers in downtown Kansas City. More importantly, I will get to work with fantastic voices under the direction of Dr. Eph Ely.
Which, to clarify, is a big deal to me.

I feel awesome. I am jittery sometimes, but not worried anymore.
This might be an even bigger deal to me?

A Birth In the Family, Arcade Fire, And My Close Friend John Boozman

I am far from ready to let go of my Xanga, but perhaps it is time I begin the transition to bigger, better, more customizable and professional looking things that automatically save your drafts.

Arcade Fire. I saw them perform in Kansas City Friday night. Outside in perfect weather at the Starlight Theatre.
Front row! We were in line four hours before the show began. I have a lot of "and then the Arcade Fire did this and looked right at me
cause we're friends" stories now. Because we really are. Easily the best musical performance of my time spent on this earth thus far. LCD Sound System put on a great show for us, too. Lights and effects for both sets were just perfect.
Downers: They did not play "My Body Is a Cage" and the asshole behind me stole the set list the band gave me and ran away with it. It doesn't matter, though. I know. He knows.

My boyfriend thinks I have developed something of a celebrity crush on red-headed siren Richard Reed Perry. Several times did our hands touch. Once did he let me play his drum. Many times did he smile his enchanting smile at me and allow me to gaze into his naked eyes.

I have failed to mention the sweet dudes i traveled with. Truly, Trevor, Pat and Shawn were the best car mates there could be.
Really so far, all I want all day every day is to relive that concert.

There is not much else to write about. It 's been the goings on lately, but I am not sure yet how comfortable I am publishing my relationship dramatics over the internet. Though I am certainly feeling a lot of relief in that arena today. I am truly in love with Shawn O'Connor. It rules that he thinks I'm cool too. I am feeling relief in several arenas today.

However. I realized tonight that I have to start scheduling auditions with music schools. My dilemma: I have no songs to sing for them and it is a fact that many hopeful students do, indeed, already have songs to sing for them.

Also. I got a letter today from John Boozman, my senator. He is proud of me for my national merit accomplishments, looks forward to my bright future, etc. Much of it was handwritten. It bore the presidential seal, postmarked from Washington D.C.
John Tyson, heir to the Tyson chicken fortune even commented from his seat behind me in class on how nice that was, as I received it in that class.
It would be so convenient to marry the heir to the Tyson chicken fortune.
Anyhow. It is obvious that I am a very important person. Just to let everyone know.

Really, if nothing else from now on, this is for you Johnny B.
